Knee Problems

Because the knee is under constant use it is subject to muscle strains, ligament sprains and injury to the meniscus (cartilage pads). It is also prone to wear and tear and problems with the knee cap caused by muscular imbalances. Knee pain can also be caused by “referred pain” from the back, pelvis, hip and ankle. Treatment of knee problems may involve treatment of the knee and/or one of the above-mentioned "referred pain" origination sites and could include:

  • Manual adjustment of the joint
  • Deep soft tissue massage
  • Trigger-point therapy
  • Exercise therapy to improve strength, endurance and stability
