Acupuncture
What exactly is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice from China that has been recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective treatment for a number of conditions. Acupuncture is used to treat wide range of disorders, ranging from back pain to allergies. It has also been used for childbirth, migraines, addictions and infertility.
Chinese medicine has always considered that physical problems arise as a result of one’s qi being out of balance; and so needles, herbs and dietary changes are used to restore that balance. When needles are used, they are inserted into the body along meridian points where qi flows. Qi, (pronounced “key”), is defined as energy or the flow of energy. The literal translation of qi is “air or breath”. Qi is also referred to as the breath of life.
Acupuncture procedures involve inserting and manipulating needles into various energy flow points on the body for therapeutic purposes, and can also include dietary and nutritional adjustments and/or herbal remedies. Because needles used in acupuncture are so thin, there is little or no pain felt in the process. Most people only feel a slight twinge or nothing at all.
In the process of treating allergies, we often use both acupuncture and NAET® (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques). NAET® techniques are drug-free, painless, non-invasive methods of removing allergies. These techniques can remove food allergies such as egg, milk, and peanuts and environmental allergies such as animal dander, grass, ragweed, and cigarette smoke. NAET® was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in November of 1983. Since then, over 9000 licensed medical practitioners trained in NAET® procedures and are practicing throughout the world.
