Dr. David BrochsteinDr. David Brochstein,LAc,OMD: David Brochstein, L.Ac., O.M.D. was born in Houston, Texas and lived in New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Boulder, Austin, and Thailand before deciding to call Dallas home.

David has early memories of dreams he had a as child where he was visualizing acupuncture treatments from a doctor, even though he did not know what acupuncture was until he was a teenager!

David grew up in Texas and graduated from Montgomery High School in Montgomery, Texas. After completing his undergraduate degree at New York University in Recording Technology and Sound Engineering, David took a position in Bangkok, Thailand running and developing professional recording studios. While he was living in Bangkok he became increasingly interested in Oriental medicine and natural therapies.

In 1996, he moved back to Texas and began work at Whole Foods Market where he became the buyer in the herbal medicine department. During this time at Whole Foods, David met his first teacher and began an apprenticeship in herbal medicine that lasted 10 years. David still consults with his mentor today.

David finally entered graduate school for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2002. At this point he was able to make use of his background in Western medicine, including completing the Michael DeBakey Internship Program at Houston’s Baylor College of Medicine as well as two summers as an ophthalmic clinic technician at Houston Eye Associates under the late (and great) Dr. Bobby Stewart.

In 2007, David completed his Masters of Oriental Medicine at the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. After graduation, he re-located to Dallas, Texas where he has family and long-time friends.

David is licensed to practice Oriental medicine in Texas and Florida, where he maintains a busy practice and a great family life. He lives in North Dallas with his wife, Umi, two dogs and two cats, with another little family member on the way in a few more months!

Dr. Kelly Kent-HickmanDr. Kelly Kent-Hickman originally from Charleston, WV, graduated with honors from Parker College of Chiropractic in May of 2009. She came to chiropractic through a personal struggle with chronic migraines that disabled her for years.

Though reluctant, she agreed to give it a chance and has been singing the praises of chiropractic ever since. Dr. Kelly joined the practice in October 2010 and is a proponent of integrated healthcare, which is a foundation of the clinic.

She practices using a mixture of Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Applied Kinesiology, Charette’s Extra-Spinal, Myofascial Release and Leander Technique. Her specialties are scoliosis, ADD/ADHD, and Nutrition.

Her strongest passion is providing hope for patients who believe that they will never be free of their pain. Dr. Kelly resides in Richardson, TX with her husband, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and daughter Mia. Her hobbies are gourmet vegetarian cooking, Latin dancing, and spending time with her family and her European boxer Calvin.
